This policy explains how Clipboard Pro+ for Mac handles your information. The iPhone and iPad privacy policy remains separate. We do not require an app account, sell clipboard content, or operate a server that stores your clipboard library.

Clipboard capture is your choice

Automatic capture requires Premium and your explicit choice to enable it. With the required macOS clipboard access, the app checks for clipboard changes every 250 milliseconds and saves supported text and links. Capture can continue when the search window is closed, minimized, or the app is hidden. It pauses when the Mac sleeps, locks, or the user session becomes inactive.

You can pause or disable capture and exclude applications. The app skips empty text, its own clipboard writes, and clipboard entries carrying supported concealed or transient markers. macOS does not provide a reliable clipboard-writer identity for every background process, so exclusions are not a guarantee that all sensitive content will be omitted. Pause capture when working with sensitive information.

Information stored on your Mac

Your library may contain saved text and links, dates, favorites, tags, and titles or other metadata synced from the mobile app. The Mac app does not automatically run AI processing. We store the library in the app's local database, together with preferences, application exclusions, retention settings, and synchronization state. Local storage is protected by macOS app sandboxing; this policy does not claim the local database has separate application-level encryption.

Optional iCloud synchronization

You can separately enable iCloud sync with compatible Clipboard Pro+ apps on your own Apple devices. Sync uses your private CloudKit database and Apple Account. Clipboard payloads and metadata use encrypted CloudKit fields; larger payloads use CKAsset files protected by Apple’s CloudKit service. The app does not add a separate encryption layer to those asset files. Libraries and synchronization state are partitioned by iCloud account to avoid uploading one account's history to another.

The app checks iCloud account identity at startup and activation, including when synchronization is disabled, to keep cached libraries associated with the correct account. This identity check does not enable uploading your local library. Turning sync off stops synchronization; it does not itself delete data already stored in iCloud. Apple operates iCloud under its own privacy terms. Sync timing depends on Apple's service and network availability.

Copy, shortcuts, and launch at login

Copy and the result keyboard shortcuts place the selected clip on the system clipboard for you to paste manually. This Mac release does not post keystrokes to other applications or request Accessibility/event-posting permission. A global shortcut opens search. Launch at login is a separate, optional macOS setting.

Premium purchases and offers

Apple processes purchases and verifies subscriptions through StoreKit. We use verified transaction and entitlement information to determine Premium access. We do not receive or store payment-card details. The same subscription can cover Mac, iPhone, and iPad.

The current Mac release has no configured developer promotional-offer server. If one is enabled in a future release, this policy will be updated before use. Apple may process purchase and offer-redemption information under its own terms.

Analytics and tracking

The native Mac app includes no third-party analytics or advertising SDK, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not sell your information. Local diagnostic logs may contain technical errors, product identifiers, or service status. Clipboard text is not intentionally included in diagnostic logs. Apple may collect diagnostics according to your system choices. The mobile apps have their own privacy disclosures.

Retention and deletion

Premium supports a shared library limit of 200, 1,000, 5,000, or 10,000 clips, with 10,000 as the default. Favorites count toward this limit. Lowering it requires a preview and confirmation. Older unpinned entries are removed first; capture can pause if favorites fill the limit.

You can delete saved clips. With sync enabled, deletions are sent to other compatible devices; payload-free deletion markers remain to prevent stale devices from restoring deleted clips. Migration backups may retain older data locally, and system backups or Apple's services may retain data under their own policies. Deletion is not a promise to erase all historical backups immediately.

If Premium expires, capture and sync stop while saved clips remain available for search, manual copy, and deletion. You can manage or cancel your subscription through Apple.
